I don't know if I am answering this correctly. I have high speed cable internet with 100/10 and a wireless router so that I can use my laptop, phone, stream TV, whatever throughout my house. The wireless works great for me. 20 mbps seems slow for cable, my provider only offers one speed, your cable provider probably has wireless. Maybe you are referring to something else but to use wireless you still need a router.
