the taxes on our work, we'd get caught at it and sure the H have to pay the fines and penalties and the back taxes.
Why should these MTSOs be any different than any other companies following the laws?
I dont think it's too much to ask that companies pay better if they want us to adhere to schedules and be assigned at certain times and sit there whether there's work or not.
Do the hospitals pay us if there's no work available at some point during the day? Yes, they do, and we are required to either make a note on the time cards about no work, or in one place we were put to work cleaning or helping file papers in medical records until our dictation load picked up and we could work again.
