Is there any MT employed by Nuance who - has been getting full hours? Posted: May 6th, 2018 - 11:15 am
Or have we all been getting drastically reduced hours through no fault of our own?
I know some who got laid off last time said on this very board that they had been getting all their hours and I found that interesting, considering you would think their work would now be spread around to those who are left, but no. I assume the work of those who got laid off went directly to contractors maybe?
I say MT (not MLS) because that's what we are. I put on my resume Medical Language Specialist and the HR lady at a job interview looked down her nose at me and implied I was getting above myself, whereupon I hastened to let her know that was their designation and actually my job title, but she still looked unimpressed. Needless to say, I have now changed that on my resume. I don't care what Nuance calls it, but I'm calling it MT like the rest of the world now.
Just wondering if anyone is getting many hours at all, and if anyone has gotten a satisfactory answer from their OM as to what is going on and why they aren't laying us off?
