I'm amazed at the hourly wages of some of the jobs posted. (I definitely beat a dead horse by staying an MT/VRE for so long.)
Example: Pre-auth clerk/specialist. We all have the knowledge that is necessary for this particular type of job. In this instance one of the qualifications is for a certified medical transcriptionist, and many have this, and have the analytical and strong language skills, medical terminology, ability to type 60+ WPM. Hourly for this job is $17 to $22, FT, benefitted. And I live in Eugene, Oregon, not a huge city, and certainly cost of living here isn't as high as Portland (although it is a college town, but still).
