Nuance

Trash their employer, really? Maybe our - employer trashed us, ya think?

They GAVE us a livelihood? Nah, they did not.

They took our livelihood and pared it down as far as they could legally, THEN they found another way to pick $ from it, NOW they are deciding they would rather not comply with the law as an employer and instead convince us to work for their "partners" who pay even less and impose the same methods of cutting our pay even though we would technically be independent contractors.

Greater responsibility didn't equal greater reward? Responsibility for what, cutting the pay, benefits, and ultimately cutting the actual jobs of workers who provide a valuable service, in fact, the bread and butter of your company? That's your greater responsibility? That deserves a reward?

I think you're the one who's looking through the "look what's been done to me" lens. You seem to think we should thank Nuance for any crumb that might constitute something like employment, just because we "could continue working for Nuance when you were too old, or too close to retirement, or had too many family responsibilities, or were too sick (or too whatever) to work anywhere else."

Ya know who talks like that? Lots of MTSO execs talk like that. MTs don't talk like that, even those who have moved on and left the field, usually anyway.

You obviously don't think we deserve a living wage, you seem to feel we should be grateful to Nuance for our meager existence for some reason, and you seem bewildered why we're not.

We provide an important service, which should be worth more than working at McDonald's or cleaning toilets, and yet Nuance has decided they want to cut and cut and cut our pay and benefits. I don't think it can be denied that they have "led" the industry in terms of bad treatment of their MTs, and of course the rest have followed, what remains of those who haven't sold out to Nuance or MM anyway.

Now they want gratitude for treating us like garbage, really? Destructive and sad alright, two words that completely define Nuance as an employer.
