that you have waited for what you consider to be more than a reasonable period of time to receive work and have not yet received any, so you now consider the contract to be voided and you will not continue your association with them.
They do not own you just because you signed a contract. They haven't lived up to their part of the bargain, so you no longer need to consider yourself bound by your agreement.
Just quit and take the other job.
