This is my first time posting so hopefully I am posting to the correct board.
I am looking for advice on researching companies that are small, privately owned, or "unknown". All of my past experience (8 years) has been with small companies that were referred to me from "a friend of a friend of a friend" so to speak. I am looking into part time IC work and have been "googling" transcription companies which I know can be potentially dangerous with all of the scams out there.
Does anyone know of a reputable website (besides this one) that provides a list of viable companies? Or does anyone have a certain "method" when looking into these small companies or do you just "go with your gut"? The only thing I have tended to rely upon is by searching the company through the BBB website for information.
Just curious if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks in advance!
