Grief is a Good Word for What We're All Going Thru - 30+ Year MT

Posted: Mar 17th, 2018 - 1:13 am In Reply to: Grieving what MT once was. Been in it for 30 years, - and it has been a good friend,....

I've been in the biz for 30+ years. I've worked at hospitals, had my own service and worked for MTSOs, so I've seen all the changes up close and personal.

It IS a grieving process. I used to love my job. I was paid well for it and it was a source of pride and self-confidence for me. I felt like a vital and important part of the medical establishment - and I was. We all were.

The changes we've seen over the last 20 years have slowly eroded away our self-esteem, our self-confidence, our self-worth and our livelihoods. And then they wonder why most of us are angry and bitter and resentful.

Well, grief will do that to you.
