I believe you are spot on. I work for a company who does accounts that came from Nuance and work in Emdat. I am pretty sure the owner has to pony up to Nuanace as well, which of course, is taken away from us. I believe M*Modal is doing the same thing.
The only good thing, PERHAPS, is keeping American MTs, instead of shipping to India, but at a much lesser rate and of course, that impacts the MTs, who in turn, have to make the decision whether or not to be an MT any longer. It is win win for Nuance, no win for MTs! :o(
