You can do this but you will be returning to work the following day for the same pay and working conditions. IMEDX won't know why you were gone unless you back this up with something more constructive. If you want the wage decease reversed, you probably need an arbitrator/union organizer or attorney to help you. This isn't illegal, just unfair, and they do have the right to fire you for not showing up for work.
