The whole reason for IC is to set own schedule as the IC is their own boss and the company is the CLIENT. Yet. the CLIENT threatens to fire if you don't jump to their SCHEDULE. How about a window of time? For example, WE say I'm sorry I am not available at that time, but I am available at this time for this rate. And they say yes or no, and THEY SIGN OUR CONTRACT. No. In some sick way we are made to think we must act as employees with strict schedule guidelines and THEIR contract is the one to abide by. For about 40.00 a day which is less than 1 hour a house cleaner makes. Uh. No.
