Just like the call centers - Old MT

They always say their name is "Scott, Kevin, Michael", etc. When I get one of those, I always ask what part of India they are from. There are a few minutes of dead silence and then they say "Delhi" or wherever. They sound so shocked that I can tell their accent. I tell them what I do and that I have been listening to that accent for years so I am very familiar with it. They always act so surprised that I can tell they are Indian. Do they really think people think they are from the U.S. just because they use American names?
