I don't know, I've been doing this going on 37 years and I don't ever remember a time when doctors didn't eat while they're dictating. They have always eaten, had other conversations in the middle of dictating, walked up the stairwells, gone into the bathroom and peed . . . gossiped about other doctors to nurses, had conversations with their wives/girlfriends while dictating, yelled at their kids while dictating, have dictated with a screaming baby on their lap, etc . . . it's a given.
