You at least get paid by the hour instead of by how many (of whatever the product is) you sell. And now-a-days, most of us make what they make and as well, have unstable, unreliable jobs, constantly running out of work and being held to impossibly high standards (all the better to fire us for). Not to mention with no control over the "he said/she said" (in our case, mostly "she said/she said") aspect of QA where you might hear one thing, they hear another, and of course they mark of points, sometimes unjustified and you can never get them reversed. Furthermore, I bet if anything ever DOES get reversed, it seems to me THEIR pay should be cut for a mistake and I bet it never is.
