Unbelievable - Grandy

Seriously? Do you think the hospitals who hire foreign doctors who barely speak English care about their patients? What kind of care are patients getting when they can't even understand their doctors? What kind of care are patients getting when hospitals don't care that the massive number of foreign parasite doctors they hire can't transcribe a report, what kind of care are patients getting when hospitals hire these unprofessional transcription companies, who then hire transciptionists who have no hope of even making minimum wage most of the time? Take Proscript, for instance, which appears to have one of the worst transcription platforms out there, with their VR program reportedly making countless dangerous mistakes on patient's reports (even when those reports are dictated clearly and concisely by the rare English-speaking dictator), and underpaid transcriptionists are expected not only to fix all of the errors that the doctors, PAs, etc., make, as well as all the errors that the VR platforms make. In addition to that, transcriptionists are expected to correct medication/dosage errors, follow an endless list of demands by the transcription companies, hospitals, individual doctors, with an endless list of exceptions to every rule listed on the spec sheet, etc., etc., Most transcriptionists could actually make more money as a greeter at Walmart. From the time patient care is initiated, the errors begin, by the hospital, by the doctors, the PAs, the transcription companies, and by every other person participating in that patient's care, and the lowest paid person in that chain of care, the transcriptionist, is expected to correct it all, while dealing with their low pay rates, the greedy, ignorant "managers" of transcription companies, their vile team leads, QA reps, cherrypicking, lack of work, etc. I believe medical malpractice is something like the third leading cause of death in America, and that is not the fault of medical transcriptionists. Maybe for a change someone should expect doctors to stop dictating the medical reports at home with their kid screaming, their dog barking, music playing, dictators chewing gum, eating meals, speaking in languages not native to the country they are working in, etc. Transcriptionists are the last people in the medical care chain, the lowest paid, the most abused, and are NOT responsible for the poor quality of medical care in this country.
