With regards to striking or quitting, it seems the only way any of us make any statement is to do it individually. I thought about setting up my own transcription business, or at least making an attempt, but then I came to realize that the quality of dictation files, be it general or medical, has sharply declined and I was not sure I'd be able to be paid a decent rate, so I finally gave up on transcription work.
