What a crock. The companies dont really care about patients - and safety and quality. They only SM

care about their bottom line and the almighty dollar. They ride you so hard on quality because they promised perfection to the clients to get that account.

There are several other people who read those chart notes after we type them, those people are the end of the food chain to blame if they dont catch the errors we might make.

We're human, we make mistakes, it cant be helped. Managers tell us "You should know that isn't right." So then the nurses and people working in hospitals know more than we do, so they are the ones who should know it isnt right before they give a patient a medication that was typed in error.

We dont deserve all the blame. Some of you carry on like the medical record is the gold standard and nobody should ever question it. Humans, like you, transcribed those records. Some of you holier than thou rollers need to step down a little bit off that "doing harm to the patient" soapbox. If YOU can type the record perfectly, without any errors, then you better get on it.
