Every word you wrote is spot on!
I have received several referral bonuses for referring good MTs and helping to "bring them over" from jobs they were unhappy in. Having good MTs on the payroll helps EVERYONE in the company -- helps us keep our accounts, etc.
It just makes sense and is good policy.
