who don't give a crap about what happens 10 years from now. They're drawing Social Security and working part time, so the future of MT is of no concern to them.

There is a very large population of older MTs, and by older I mean over Social Security retirement age.

For those of us who are younger MTs and not drawing Social Security and who do not have a husband/wife as the breadwinner, we need to be on top of working conditions.

This job will be in existence in some capacity for the next decade at least. We cannot allow MTSOs to dictate low wages and IC status, continuing to do a lot of "free" work (demographics, notations, research, inserting normals on voice rec accounts), pay our own taxes with these low line rates.

At the end of this year in 3 weeks and when taxes are being prepared, I imagine there are going to be a lot of MTs shocked at the amount of money owed to the IRS from their IC status and low line rates.
