That is such an incorrect sentence. Would you say, "The cookies are well baking." It does not sound right and does not look right; so, you would change it around automatically and say, "The cookies are baking well." You cannot take a word out of a correct sentence, put it somewhere else, and not have it need something (like a comma or hyphen) to make it work. We have looked at that particular sentence structure so long that it looks correct, but it is not.
