2. It is a crap shoot. Good manager, good accounts one day, gone the next.
3. Job gone--this is your reality and could be again.
4. Life changes. I have changed careers/or jobs 5 times.
5 & 6. I cannot comment on your personal financial and insurance situation.
Here is my perspective. I had to make a decision that I was not making enough money to someday retire comfortably. The less you make during your working years, the less your social security will be. My body, wrist, eyes, seemed to be giving out much faster than they should be and I did not want to work into my 70's. I am feeling much better, sleeping better and have an excitement about my future that I have not had for a long time.
