to determine if the pay is comparable to per line. Not too familiar with pay per page apart from in court proofreading. Per line, it is said that 1 minute = 10 lines. However, on some contracts, you may yield lower or higher than 10 lines in 1 minute. If on average you yield 10 lines or more per minute, pay per line is advantageous. If you get less than 10 lines per minute on average, you would do better with pay per minute. For the contracts with a lot of backtracking and pauses (scratch that, go back here and change that), you are certainly better off paid by the minute.
