I'm not sure how imedx words their contracts but I thought as an IC, you don't have scheduled hours. If this is the case, you should be able to work when you choose. If you have a schedule, I don't think you're a true IC, but what are ya gonna do? You won't get very far in an argument with imedx, that's for sure. Did they specifically say not to log in? Or to check with PTLs before you log in? If not, I'd take that as an all-clear to work.
