If you're single and only breadwinner (lol I know, funny word to describe employment here, right?). Their single coverage has usually been deemed affordable by their paper they file and send. If you take insurance through the exchange, the numbers are reconciled at end of year with a form you file with your income tax that lets you know if you owe back any of the incentives you received, etc.
