Dictators should qualify to use SR. At the rates offered now, the accuracy rate would need to be quite high, otherwise not worth it, 95%. What has happened, at least in part, is that those working in the field have allowed it to happen or allowed it to continue to happen and worsen. MT is a very female-dominated field. If more men worked in the industry, I don't think many of them would stand for having their pay slashed to half what it used to be. SR work should not be paid on production. Effectively implemented SR (have not seen it yet) would probably result in less work to go around, but that work should pay as well as MT used to pay. There would still be a savings as fewer people would be needed to do it, but those who would do it would be compensated adequately.
