Anyone know how to measure typing time? - Need Help Posted: Oct 24th, 2017 - 11:03 pm
My company pays only for typing time, not time looking stuff up, etc. I keep a timer by my desk, but it gets confusing turning it off to research and turning it back on when I start transcribing again. It seems like there should be a way to simply have the computer record the time that you are actually typing, but I cannot figure out how to do this. When I try Google, it just leads me to typing tests or keyloggers. I'm hoping someone here will understand what I'm looking for and can tell me what it would be called. Thanks for your help. (Please no rants about how unfair it is not to be paid for research. I know that and have made my peace with it. I just want to be able to accurately record the actual typing time)
