I did the coding program after my MT job was outsourced in 2012, thinking it would be a smooth transition. At that time I didn’t think it was very good, no textbooks, just canned on line learning modules with no assigned instructors and a lot of filler like word search games. I was very much on my own and not ready to go to work in coding so I ended up doing something else. At the time, there were no externships, hopefully things have improved and I can’t speak to the other programs they offer. I agree, investigate other schools. I would recommend a structured classroom situation, at least something where you can check in with an instructor and receive feedback and possibly interact with other students in your program.
