I haven't signed the severance yet, I am over 50 so I have 45 days to do so but that's because I have joined a collection action lawsuit against Nuance over unpaid break time and the lawyer was working on obtaining a temporary restraint on the severance options so I would not have to make a choice between severance pay and my legal rights. As for severance and TAA, that does not matter. For schooling, I decided to stay in the medical field since it is a booming industry here in Michigan. I am looking into becoming a "diagnostic medical sonographer technician", fancy title for the one who performs ultrasounds. You only need an associates degree and the pay and future job outlook are great!
