I was laid off from TTS and it took about 3 weeks for me to start collecting UE, but it wasn't because of a severance (I didn't get severance at all). I had a 1 week waiting period in my state, then it took them another 2 weeks just to process my claim. It got to a point where I started calling them every day about 3 days before I finally got paid. It turned out that someone at UE was needing info from the company, info from me, yadda yadda, and so things were getting held up because so many people were dropping the ball and passing the buck. Keep on them relentlessly! I hope things get better for you!
