A job maybe. Are bus loans available to IC to keep them - afloat?

Just curious. Other industries float loans to keep down times from eating up their revenue and pay off during up times. I wonder if ICs have ability to apply for business loan. At this point, that would be a perk while I search for my other hidden talents.
