right that they would deny you because of money earned. Anyone who is laid off usually has a last paycheck due them. Did you report it or are they considering this severance money? Again, each state is different, but usually you want to file ASAP because in some places there is a one week waiting period and if you wait 2 weeks, you are never going to get the weeks you didn't file for. I would call back and ask for a more definitive explanation because how much money you earned should have no bearing on unemployment benefits unless it's a partial unemployment claim.
