I travel frequently ... may be just to the next town, sometimes to mom's place same town .. but still am able to work wherever i am thanks to my laptop. So, not being a computer whiz, cannot guide you about make and stuff, but would suggest a laptop instead of a desktop. I use external keyboard though. Find that most comfy.
