a pharmacy tech license either and CVS does hire and train in my state, but if they teach you well enough, it would be to your advantage to take the licensing test. Hospitals/medical facilities and I also saw a nursing home with an ad looking for a medication tech (which is less involved than pharm tech), so you are not limited to retail pharmacies.
