With my VR account at an MTSO, we cannot use bold/underlined headings, rarely have jump codes, and are lucky to be able to call up a macro once a month. It is strictly verbatim, so in reality it is impossible to make shortcuts for anything longer than 2- or 3-word phrases. I also don't need too many editing-only-type shortcuts. This does not push an expander to its maximum. I suggest making sure you know all the keyboard shortcuts available on your platform/system, and use them all the time. I do agree about not giving up the foot pedal!
