ShortHand, etc., is your answer - StillAnMT

Every time your eyes leave the screen and/or your hands leave the keyboard you are losing money.

A text expander like ShortHand or Instant Text is a must. NOT MS Autocorrect (it is too simple). ONce you pay money for a powerful program like ShortHand or Instant Text, teach yourself how to use it to the nth degree. These do much more than expand "tp" to "the patient." They call up macros, simulate macros, insert bolded/ underlined headings, insert paragraphs/ pages of texts, take you to your next jump code, and so much more - all from your keyboard with as little as a 2- or 3-letter command. Your eyes do not leave the screen and your hands do not leave the keyboard. You cannot totally eliminate the mouse, but you can really minimize its use.

Good luck. And do not give up that foot pedal.
