Collecting garbage - Try it

Posted: Aug 31st, 2017 - 10:26 pm In Reply to: Sure it is - MT

I am not offended, but I am flabbergasted that anyone would think that picking up trash is a step up the employment ladder. There is nothing wrong with physical activity but consider the occupational hazards, stray dogs and other OTJ injuries. Dumpsters are nasty and crawling with filth and germs even when people bag their garbage. It would be rare, but you might even be subjected to needle sticks if someone disposed of syringes in an improper manner, not to mention cuts from broken glass and what not. If you want physical activity, what about gardening, lawn care or dog walking? It didn't offend me, I just can't imagine what you are thinking to even want a job like that. You'd probably be paid well but money isn't everything.
