There will be wide variations from dictator to dictator and audio to audio. Suppose I'm paid 8 cents per line for single dictators with clear audio. Each provides 20 minutes of audio. They all use the same template. I might earn $25 with one, $15 with another, $12 with another. One speaks slowly and backtracks often. Another speaks quickly and gets a lot said. Another spells things that we all know. And so on. If the legal dictation includes verbatim, you will not be able to transcribe that as quickly for quite a while until shortcuts are in your expander, and you need to be using one of the best ones.
