Well my degree is a bit touchy - MT Posted: Aug 30th, 2017 - 11:06 pm In Reply to: Have you ever contacted your professional - Val
It is a Master's of Divinity with over 100 credits of postgraduate work and published research. My doctorate is a year in counseling and discipleship. So as a woman in the geographic locations in many parts of this country women are not allowed to even have these kinds of degrees. Where I live it is very frowned upon. It has been suggested to me by clinicians that I may set up private practice as a pastoral counselor and even take insurance, but I don't have any money to do that. I suppose it would be the way to go. However, being broke and trying to start a new business would be extremely difficult. I had no idea that a woman who was top of the class in theology and scholarly research would be looked down upon by male decision makers but here I am.
