Questions going FT to PT - TXMT

Going to the SS office in 2 weeks to fill out paperwork. I want to keep working 3 days a week until my husband retires. How much notice to you have to give MM to go to PT? I have an MM computer. If you go to PT do you have to return it? How hard is it to get time off? My children are planning a 2-week vacation early next year and want to take me too. Thanks in advance for answers.
