By law, companies are required to pay anyone they cut loose ON THE DAY OF DISCHARGE, including all pay, PTO, etc. or they will have to pay a penalty to the employee.
The only thing I'm not certain of is if the employee has to reside in CA or not. I do live in CA and was paid immediately upon being let go (though not from Softscript, another company).
