I belong to several MT Facebook groups and lately have been seeing posts about certain dictations that some find amusing, usually involving some pain for the patient. Now I have to admit the circumstances are always somewhat weird or interesting, but to find humor in a person's pain is not cool to me. I have only been an MT for about 7 years. I guess I'm looking for reassurance that I will never want to laugh at a patient's unfortunate circumstances (perhaps only if they are laughing). What do you more experienced MTs think?
