Me, I am 69, did it for 35 years. Do not do transcription any more as I do not like being taking advantage of by these rip-off transcription companies. I would tell a younger person to consider becoming an LPN, one year to get this certification. At least you can make a decent wage ... until that time probably in the not too distant future, technology comes out with robot nurses.
