[sic] isn't used in MT. If there is an inconsistency and we can definitively remedy it ourselves going on other text in the report, then we do. If not, we leave a QA marker (whatever our platform uses) and send it off to QA. If QA can't remedy it, they'll send it on to the client. I've been MTing for over 35 years and have told to never use [sic] in medical transcription.
