Colonoscopy/confluence of tenia/proximal cecum phrasing help needed - sparky

Posted: Aug 11th, 2017 - 10:54 pm

Speech recognition is spitting this phrase out, which is what it sounds like the doctor is saying, oddly enough, but it doesn't make sense to me. Are there words missing that the doctor might not be enunciating well enough?

"...and upon reaching the confluence the tenia seen and the proximal cecum..."

The internet tells me that there is a "confluence of the tenia." I'm not really hearing an "of" in his dictation, though.

He may also be saying "...IN the proximal cecum..."  I'm not sure.

I also wondered if he might be saying "tenia c" as slang or something for tenia coli.

Thanks!
