Although I am 52 and still have 10 years, I plan to take early retirement at 62. I spoke with my financial planner and at that time SS was predicted to be out of money when I turned 72. She said that she didn't think that would happen, but if it did, then I would still be ahead of the game by starting at 62, even with the lower pay-out.
