A lot of investors have been losing money over this. If you have 10,000 shares, you have lost $30,000 in the last month or so. This could be someone's nest egg or a mutual fund or a pension fund.

I have many conflicts over what has happened in the markets, with the companies/CEOs being rewarded by cutting wages and doing whatever they deem necessary to increase the value of their stocks. Look at Volkswagon--at least someone is going to jail over the deception regarding pollution control fraud. Look at BP oil--pumped oil into the Gulf, was fined, but was able to declare fine as a tax deduction, while their investors lost tons of money. Since companies are not transparent, baffling with their BS in their operations, investors have to be as diligent as they can be.

Again, you never know what the goal is for posters on the financials boards. If you are long on a stock, you do not want to hear or post any negative news, as you could just potentially lose money. Investors who are short, want to push the price down, as they profit as the price goes down. So, you can never immediately believe any post you see, thus the investor's skepticism.
