You are obviously new to the dance. In 1996 working in Houston, there were MTs who made over $100,000 a year (working on production, working a lot of overtime). Today you will be lucky to make minimum wage. I have been in this industry for 40 years and make about $9 an hour. The first notice a major company gets that you are making a livable wage (15 or more) they will change your account, change your platform, nitpick your work, LIE, or anything they can do to be sure you are making just about minimum wage. It is a sick industry and I would not advise any human being to voluntarily join this torture chamber. NO. Don't do it.
