Fix for slow EMDAT completion/download of jobs - EMDATnewbie

I'm just learning EMDAT and there is a huge lag when completing jobs and waiting for the next one to download.  My production is suffering.  Does anyone know if there is a quick fix for this for someone who works overnight and is not in the mood to attempt a tech support call?
