the moon's shadow as it travels across the U.S., so I expect to be able to enjoy a pretty good eclipse effect just looking out the window behind my monitor, :), even if it's not as dark as in the "total" area a half hours away. All of America will get to see at least a partial eclipse, though.
There will be various other ones over the next few decades, but not as good for everyone to see until 2045. The track of the next fairly good one, in 2024, will come up through Mexico into Texas and run diagonally northeast through Maine. So enjoy this one.
