Another question - Voice of provider vs. scribe

One of the beautiful things about transcription is that providers speak eloquently in their own voices and styles, and we produce documents that reflect that, which is invaluable for insurance and legal analysis. WHO the doc is and how they do their work comes through clearly. Does a scribe take down the provider's words verbatim, like shorthand? Does the provider have to wait for the scribe to catch up, or navigate electronic challenges and glitches (I would think so). OR -- does the scribe provide a record that is THEIR interpretation of the visit? Is it a fluid conversational style, as we document, or a fill-in-the blanks one-size fits all style? If they are "certified" (and how the VA is pushing for that; so it's fine for offshores who can barely speak English to provide critical records, but not on-site scribes?)...anyway, if they are certified, one would think the documentation style is uniform, and almost certainly impersonal and multiple choice. Again, I need to do research, but once you start to think about it, there are a lot of questions.
